Trade Show Internet That Ships With the Booth

A booth is a small office that has to work perfectly for three days in a building you do not control. We ship a bonded cellular kit, a switch for the demo kiosks, and a network that does not depend on the venue. From $1,500 per week, no venue order deadline, backup carrier built in.

What the venue sells, and why it is not enough on its own

Exhibitor Wi-Fi

Shared with every booth and every attendee. Fine for checking email. Not fine for demos, lead capture, or a card reader.

Hardwired drops

A good primary connection when ordered on time and terminated where the booth actually is. One line, one provider, one deadline, and a rate that jumps after it.

Our booth kit

Two carriers bonded into one connection on a router you control, with the venue drop as primary if you ordered one and the kit as failover if you did not. Either way the booth stays online.

What ships with the booth

  • Bonded cellular router with two carrier SIMs chosen for the venue, high-gain antennas, automatic failover
  • Managed switch and short Ethernet runs so kiosks, screens, and POS are wired, not on Wi-Fi
  • Segmented Wi-Fi: demos and lead capture on one network, staff and guests on another, demos given priority
  • Router configured so a venue drop, if you ordered one, is primary and the kit is backup
  • Preconfigured kiosk images when we build the kiosks, so nothing is downloaded on the floor
  • Printed guide, remote monitoring during show hours, support line, prepaid return label

Need the kiosks too? We build custom trade show games and demo kiosks and ship them in the same road cases.

The timeline

  1. Booth confirmed

Send the floor plan, the device count, and the load-in date. Order the venue drop if you want one.

  2. Contract signed

Kit ships the next business day, timed to arrive with the booth or at the advance warehouse.

  3. Load-in

Power the kit first, wire the kiosks, take a test lead and a test transaction on every device before the carpet goes down.

  4. Show days

We can see the kit remotely and the support line answers during show hours. Most issues are a cable or a power cycle.

  5. Strike

Everything back in the case with the prepaid return label.

Proof, not promises

Footprints that stayed online when the venue's network did not

Five activations on one Starlink backbone at the All-Star fan fest, eight units with redundancy at a sold-out Army-Navy Game, and offline-ready registration across eight NFL camps. Same network design, scaled to a booth.

All case studies

Starlink or bonded cellular?

The venue decides. Here is the rule we use on every quote.

Open sky

Starlink. Cheapest, simplest, and the most common rental.

No sky

Bonded cellular. Two carriers combined into one connection, failover built in.

Stream, broadcast, or sponsor footprint that cannot drop

Both on one router. One path fails, the other carries the feed.

Not sure

Send two photos: where the devices will sit, and the nearest spot with open sky. We will tell you which kit, or whether you need one at all.

Where is the event?Outdoors or anywhere with open sky: lawns, lots, fields, patios, rooftopsIndoors with no sky: ballrooms, convention halls, hotel meeting rooms, dense downtown blocks
Can you put a dish outside within a cable run?Yes. The dish goes on a tripod with sky view and the cable runs back insideNo. Nowhere to put a dish, or the dish would be under trees, a tent, or a tall building
What is it carrying?Livestreams, registration, kiosks, photo delivery, guest Wi-Fi for a tent or a tailgateThe same things, plus trade show booths, conference rooms, and POS where the house network cannot be trusted

Trade show internet FAQ

How much does internet cost at a trade show?+

Venue-provided internet is usually priced per drop per day through the show's exclusive provider, with an order deadline before the show and a higher rate after it. Our bonded cellular booth kit is $1,500 per week, independent of the venue, and ships with your exhibit. For a three-day show it is usually less than one hardwired drop and it comes with a backup carrier built in.

Is the free exhibitor Wi-Fi good enough for demos?+

No. Exhibitor Wi-Fi is shared with every booth and every attendee. It is fine for email and not fine for seven demo kiosks that have to load your product the moment the keynote lets out. Demos, lead capture, and point-of-sale need a connection you control.

Does Starlink work inside a convention center?+

Not on the show floor; there is no sky. Bonded cellular is the indoor kit. Starlink belongs at outdoor pavilions, parking-lot activations, and demo vehicles outside the building, and we will say which on the quote.

How many devices can the booth kit handle?+

A typical booth is a dozen connections before anyone's phone joins: demo kiosks, two lead capture tablets, a couple of laptops, a badge scanner. One kit covers that. Send the floor plan and the device count and we size the router, the switch, and the data plan to it.

Should the kiosks be on Wi-Fi?+

Wire them. We ship a small managed switch and short runs so kiosks and screens are on Ethernet. Wired demo pods do not drop when three thousand phones arrive on the floor. Wi-Fi is for the tablets and the staff.

What if I already ordered a venue drop?+

Good. We configure the router so the venue drop is primary and the cellular kit is the backup, and it fails over on its own. If the drop does not show up, or stops at 9 a.m. on day one, the booth stays online and nobody notices.

When does it need to ship?+

Send the floor plan, device count, and load-in date as soon as the booth is confirmed. The kit ships the next business day after the contract is signed, timed to arrive with the exhibit or at the advance warehouse. Power it first at load-in and test every device before the carpet goes down.

Can you run it on site?+

Most booth kits ship and run without staff, and we can see the kit remotely during show hours. For multi-pod demo footprints or a booth the client is standing in, a PivotXP tech is a per-day line on the quote. We also build the demo kiosks themselves: touch screens, pods, and the software on them.
