Leaderboards + Gamification

Real-time scoring and branded displays for live activations. We ingest scores, apply ranking rules, and publish results to TVs, LED walls, kiosks, and web views with low latency. Built for live environments where the display has to stay correct.

Gamification with sensors

The demo above runs in a browser. In production, leaderboards are fed by real inputs — Pop-A-Shot rim sensors, button matrices, RFID taps, motion triggers, weight pads — wired into the same scoring engine. Two activations where the hardware became the gameplay:

ACC Women's Tournament · Ally + ESPN

Pop-A-Shot rims wired to a live leaderboard

Custom-installed sensors on a Pop-A-Shot tracked every made basket and fed scoring directly into a live top-10 leaderboard. Guests scanned an Ally card to start; their name and favorite school appeared on screen instantly, then they had 30 seconds to climb the board. The competitive loop drove repeat plays across the entire tournament.

A 15-foot boombox of 40 sensor-lit buttons

For UScellular at Summerfest, we built a giant boombox arcade. Guests dropped their phones in a slot to play. A Raspberry Pi handled a matrix of 40 LED-backlit buttons that lit up at random — blue meant good habits (points up), red meant distractions (points down). A TV styled as a vintage radio dial showed the live score, and the game reset in under 10 seconds so the line kept moving.
